Background

We were contacted by TABS Training Limited as they had an urgent deadline to meet. Digital recordings had been taken of interviews with a selection of their clients and the final transcriptions were completed and returned well within the given timeframe.

Summary

We understand that there may be some reluctance on the part of a new client to try out the typing service, due to not being able to assess the time required to complete the task and therefore budget accordingly. Understandably it is very difficult to assess how long particular pieces of work will take to complete, for example, transcription of a tape with two people speaking will take longer than straight dictation. By offering a one-off one hour assessment to demonstrate how much can be accomplished in 60 minutes, it is then possible to give a fairly accurate estimate of the time required for completion of the assignment. This is also an opportunity for the client to confirm the quality of work is at a level to meet their requirements. The sample hour is charged at £20 with economies of scale to be gained for volume, longer term and regular assignments.

We have the capability to handle various digital formats so files can easily be emailed to us, or if this is not possible, then work can be posted to us. We are able to provide either an email response or hard copy format which can be posted back to the client or collected (depending on their location). Analogue tapes can also be transferred into digital format and saved onto a CD/DVD or emailed back to the client, which in turn saves storage space.

We are frequently asked to undertake mail shots for our clients. They provide the headed paper, we mail merge and print ready for collection or we simply mail merge and email the document back to them for printing.
